Eagle Pier Market

So I went to the market with Mantou and Chris. Haha we were supposed to meet Mantou in the city at 12.30pm but Chris only woke up at 12pm. I don't blame her because 1) I'm resigned to her inability to wake up on time and 2) I was feeling quite lazy myself and would have slept in if she had told me earlier. Anyway all this time delay meant that we managed to meet Mantou on the same bus to the city. We went to Hungry Jack's for lunch and it has been such a long time since I have eaten a burger. I think it must be 2 months or more. So by the time we played around, chatted and slowly relished the burgers, it was almost 2pm. When we reached the market, we found that there weren't many stalls around, probably because we were late and it was a rainy day. The wind was cold but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There wasn't much to see so we ended up heading back to the city and walking around for a while. It was nice spending time with Mantou and getting to really talk to her. It has been a really long time since we've gone out together and I find that I miss Julie's companionship. The 3 of us (Chris, Julie and I) used to be the three musketeers and since she's not here, we have Mantou instead. If Julie was in Brisbane with us now, the 4 of us would be just nice for a game of mahjong!!!

We were talking/gossiping about our friends and family in S'pore earlier on and exchanging different news about our common friends aka the tennis team. Somehow the topic lead to our departure from S'pore heh...then we all compared each other's crying stories....haha....nice to know that Mantou had this same situation I had as well. Again, if they happen to read this, I would like to thank those who came to send me off on my last day. I also want to scold Julie for promising to come and then going back on her word....hahah....you owe me now...!!!
