Saturday - Going Somewhere Different for a Change

Waking up at 7 am on a Saturday, I was going to the Brisbane Market with my housemates, Chris and Mr Tan. The Brisbane Market only opens on Saturday between 6 am to 12 pm. We had passed by the place on our way to Sunnybank on Wednesday and since we hadn't been there before, we decided to take a look. The weird thing about that place is that we had to pay $1 entrance fee. I mean, we are going in there to buy stuff so why did we have to pay money to enter a place where we were going to spend more money? The place looked big when we passed by on the bus but it actually wasn't that big. There were about 5 long aisles. There were many stalls selling plants and I saw these really cute plants with pretty flowers. The colours were beautiful and I couldn't resist buying 2 pots. I bought 1 with bright yellow flowers and another with blue, violet and white flowers. They cost me only $3.50 altogether. Haha, Chris also bought 2 pots and Wan Shi got 1 pot with very pretty orange flowers. Too bad I hate orange but I still can admire her flowers. They mostly sold fruits and veggies at cheap prices. We walked around slowly, checking out the cheap prices. I bought a packet of red chillies, ginger, sweet potatoes and strawberries (chillies and ginger are expensive in stores, I seldom see sweet potatoes and it's almost strawberry season). I also got a cup of fresh orange juice with lots of pulp (orange juice sold here are always pulp-free). We shared a nice plate of big breakfast for $5.50 which included 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bread, bacon, tomato, onions, 1 hashbrown and 1 sausage. It was a nice change to explore Brisbane for once. At least I don't keep going back to the same few places all the time.
