Ekka 2005

Here are the pictures from Ekka. Erm...I loaded the pictures in the wrong order so you're supposed to view them from bottom up. We also caught a splendid rodeo show at night where the Aussie and NZ cowboys competed in horse and bull riding. Watching the animals jump, run and buck with such intense power right in front of you was an awesome experience. Watching rodeos on the tv is nothing compared to watching it live. You actually get to see how they control the animals and the way the rider's body twists while on the animal is amazing. It almost seems like their spine will break into two at any moment. A total WOW!!!

Some of the game stalls where they totally cheat you of your money.

Amusement rides at Ekka.

Yay!!! I found another cute donkey at another place. Although I don't get to pet it, it's good all the same.

Happy to be at Ekka at long last!

My turn to take a photo with a lazy goat. Actually I wanted to take a photo with the donkey at this petting place but it kept running away. So I had to settle for this goat...darn!!

Chris with a fat goat(or is this a sheep?). What she doesn't know is that the goat/sheep is actually thinking, "Stupid girl, forcing me to pose with her just to take endless pictures for her own amusement!!!".

Chris with another miniature horse. Apparently miniature horses and miniature ponies are not the same. The ponies looked prettier with brown and thicker fur.

A tiny miniature horse! I probably weigh more than this small creature. Its fur is like a very soft carpet by the way. The owner was so nice to let us into the stall so that we could pet it.

This looks like the cow they worship in India if you ever watch National Geographic.

Look at these cows and bulls! They actually sell bull semen here and no, Mr Tan, the semen is not for us to drink as a supplement.

At the entrance of Ekka. We took the train going in the wrong direction hence we actually took about 1 hour and 30 mins to get here.
