Kitchen Cluedo

I woke up yesterday afternoon to find that our microwave was gone. Damn and I wanted to reheat something for my lunch. No one informed us beforehand that someone was going to take the microwave. In fact, I was even wondering if the oven had been taken by Campus Lodge management or some burglars. But then, the TV was untouched and the main door was fine. I went to check if I had any voicemails because Judy usualy leaves messages to inform residents when the maintenance people have to come up to our units. No voicemail, no letter, nothing. Hence we were left pondering when our microwave would be back and I was running through my head about what I could possibly cook which would not need the microwave. I found that I couldn't think of a single item. I ended up eating bread for lunch and boy was I pissed about it. I was so looking forward to eating the previous night's leftovers and now I couldn't. To top that off, I might have to use the stove to reheat my food and that is so troublesome. Then did I realise how reliant I was on the microwave.

I went out for my lectures and came back early from the practical. I gave Judy a call once I got back to ask about the microwave. She didn't know anything about it but she did promise to get back to me once she had it checked out. Hmm...she didn't sound too happy to hear from me. I guess once I had mentioned that I was from Unit 7, she knew that it was, once again, the same bunch of complain queens. Yeah, we do complain quite a fair bit...hahhaha...

I had to cook my chicken ponteh since I had already prepared the ingredients and the chicken had been thawed for 2 days. I cooked until Wan Shi got back. The minute she stepped into the house, she pointed out that the microwave was BACK!!! OMG I must have been so blind. I had been cooking the whole time and never noticed that it was back. Of course, the microwave was a different one but I was glad to have one anyway.

Then during dinner, I noticed that my tray of eggs had been messed with. The edge of the cardboard tray had been torn off and 2 of my eggs were cracked. I was pissed all over again. What kind of inconsiderate steals egg cardboard and leaves the eggs broken!! We were all trying to figure out who would want to steal cardboard until Steph realised that whoever took it had used it to prop up the microwave in one corner. This is ridiculous!!! The idiot who tore off my egg tray had no right to even touch it without permission. I am so angry!!!

The replacement microwave

The torn egg tray AND cracked eggs...

This is where the cardboard was stuffed.
